Our New Home

So today we say farewell to the wonderful Carramar Motel that has served us well for a week. We now move in to 59 Ruahine St. directly across from the hospital. Lynda has looked it through and given her approval. It didn't look like much from the outside, but was quite nice inside so we are quite keen on it. (Notice the use of "quite" and "keen" - that's they way we Kiwis talk).

So without further ado, here is our new abode. Some kids from a local school were doing their PE I guess. Notice the bare feet.

This is the living room looking toward the back yard (picture taken from the kitchen).

And this is the back yard, of course.

In other news, Bayne played 18 holes of golf yesterday (Sunday) and shot a 40 on the front nine, 47 on the back. We then went tramping through the Pohaninga Valley on a short 30 minutes circle. We drove through what surely was The Shire, although saw only sheep, deer, cows, goats, and horses. Now Bayne is back at work and Lynda is moving in to the house. Plan for the weekend - Stewart Island - furthest south we will ever have been or are likely to go.

cool house! you guys need to rent this movie called "eagle vs. shark"

your house looks like it comes straight out of that movie. incidentally, the movie takes place in new zealand and one of the main characters in jermaine. i can't wait to see little palmy!

I think that house looks a lot like a hotel from the inside. I also think you guys should put a sheep in your backyard. How do you guys get around, as it turns out? Are you close to everything?

Ahh, Eagle vs. Shark... so weird, but sweet. Selbies are weird anyway.
